Revisions: The Tough Questions

What is the plot point of the scene, and can it be stronger? Every scene also needs a “plot point” or a reason for being in the book. To “show how hot the hero is” is not a plot point. To “let him reveal his backstory to the heroine” is kind of a plot point, if it changes their relationship. The bigger question is why is that scene really in the book? Something must happen to further develop the story and complicate the situation for the characters.
